Elina Volska

Born on December 11, 1989, in Khmelnytskyi region, Ukraine. Lived in Turkmenistan until the age of six due to her father’s military service. Graduated from high school in Bila Tserkva (Kyiv region).

 

Holds a master’s degree in film and television arts with honors.

Worked in Ukrainian television for over 11 years. Her last position was Senior Editor at the Ukraine-24 TV channel (until July 2022).

Since 2022, she has focused on independent projects:

  • Co-writer of the documentary “(Not) Allowed to Stay” (2023, directed by Serhii Zeynalov). The film was created with the support of DW Akademie (MediaFit Program for Information Integrity in Southern and Eastern Ukraine).

  • Screenwriter of the documentary video “Music Ambassadors Tour 2024 – Ukraine Through the Eyes of Foreigners”.

  • Currently working on the documentary film “533 Days – Divided by a Bridge” (directed by Serhii Zeynalov).

She has an active social position. Since 2023, she has been part of the “Recovery During the War” project, which focuses on the psychological rehabilitation of Ukrainian women and children most affected by the russian-Ukrainian war. This includes military families and widows of fallen soldiers.
